Must See / Must Do Things in Eureka Springs

Historic District Tram Tour- Ranked as one of the top activities in Eureka Springs by TripAdvisor reviewers. This is a 90 minute narrated tour of the Eureka Springs Historic District. The tour includes a stop at the 1886 Crescent Hotel and at one of the many springs that made Eureka Springs a famous health spa over 115 years ago. You will see hundreds of old homes and buildings that have been wonderfully restored or well preserved. Tour are at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, May through October, then weekends only for the first 2 weekends of November. $15.00 plus tax.

The Great Passion Play- The Passion Play is the #1 nighttime activity in Eureka Springs. It is an outdoor performance that portrays the last week of Jesus Christ's life on earth, known as "The week of passion!". Whether you are a Christian or not, this is an excellent production, with nearly 200 cast members, live animals, doves, beautiful and colorful costumes, excellent sound and lighting system and several special effects.

Thorncrown Chapel - This chapel was completed in 1981 and won Best Designed Building of the Year, by the AIA. It then won best designed building of the decade in 1991, and more recently won 4th place in the Design of the Century Award. All by the AIA (American Institute of Architects). The building is 24 feet wide, 48 feet tall and 60 feet long. Built almost entirely out of glass. Thorncrown is very popular for weddings also. The chapel is supported by donations only. There is no admission fee. Please donate at least $1.00 per person.
